Water and Air Pollution

Our health is dependant on clean water and air. The food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe need to be clean and healthy. Water and air pollution impede our health by contributing to unhealthy and even dirty essentials of life. Water and air pollution are prevalent around the world, impacting everyone and everything on the face of the earth.

Water and air pollution have a big impact upon the whole world. Unfortunately, most people don't take it seriously, though, allowing it to continue to be a big problem. If everyone in the world would do their part in decreasing water and air pollution in their little corner of the world, then progress would seen. The first and most important thing that would help decrease water and air pollution is knowledge. By helping others to learn about this very important issue, you can enable them to change their habits to help decrease water and air pollution.

Knowledge is crucial to alleviating any problem in the world. It is especially valuable, however, when you need people to change the ways that they do things. Water and air pollution are caused by many of the things that each of us do everyday. This includes driving cars, using gasoline powered lawn tools, using chemicals that get into the environment, dumping sewage directly into water or on the land, burning trash, and improper disposal of chemicals. Learning more about the sources of water and air pollution will help people see where they need to make changes to make the world healthier for themselves and for future generations.

Learning more about the effects of water and air pollution on human health is also important, because it can become an impetus for change. The most common illnesses that can be attributed to water and air pollution include cancer, hepatitis and typhus, autoimmune diseases, allergies, asthma, and other assorted illnesses and symptoms. If you think about it, why would you not want to make changes if you could help decrease your likelihood for getting some of the diseases and illnesses above?

Much is being done by government divisions to regulate and monitor water and air pollution, but more needs to be done to make lasting and significant change in the levels of water and air pollution. Stricter fines need to be set against the major polluters, which are usually manufacturers and industries, to help decrease the amount of pollution that is released into the air and water. Changes need to be made by the average person as well, including supporting cleaner fuel sources for automobiles and decreasing the use of harmful chemicals that get into the air and water. Change is hard, but it must be done if we are going to decrease water and air pollution.

Water and air pollution are a big problem all over the world. It used to be that it was just a problem in big cities, but it has moved to more rural settings very quickly. This is why we need to find ways to make changes in our everyday activities to help make the world healthier and safer today and for future generations. If we don't make changes now, then the earth may be harmed to an extent that it cannot bounce back. We definitely do not want that. Our goal should be to leave the world in even better shape than when we came into it. It can be done. We just all have to be willing to change.
